“I babysat kids ever since I was 10 years old, and I did this through high school. I loved playing with them - and being there to help them learn and grow was very rewarding. Some kids are struggling at home with not the best care, so if I can make a difference in their lives for just a little while, then it’s all worth it.

I have a family full of fur babies: 2 cats and 1 dog. So most of my free time goes to playing with them. I also love crafting and being with family.”

“Ever since I was a little kid, I have wanted to be a teacher and that dream is still here! I love seeing children grow and experience the world around them. Building relationships and learning about others has always been something I love to do and it is most enjoyable with children! I cannot wait to be a part of their journey as they grow!

Experience: 2 years as an instructor in K/1 classroom at the Regional Multicultural Magnet School in New London CT; 11 years at a summer camp with ages 6-13 in various positions ranging from counselor to assistant director. Drew joined the staff at Apple Ridge in August 2021.

 

“I had many wonderful teachers growing up and one in particular really pushed me to grown and be the best I can be and I hope to be able to provide that to a young child. My favorite part about working with children is their curious minds, caring hearts, and genuineness.
